Herr D.K. versucht mit seiner Musik, die zwischen Folkrock und Indiepop changiert, hinter die Strukturen zu blicken.
Ängste, Ausbruchsfantasien und graue Vorhänge tummeln sich in den
Stücken, mischen existenzielle Fragen in mitreißende Geschichten, fordern Aufmerksamkeit und werden auch mal zum zentralen Bestandteil des Songs. Es bedarf des Blickes auf das ganze Bild. Im privaten wie im politischen. Doch stets erhellt ein kleiner Lichtschein das Geschehen, der der vermeintlichen Tragik einen leisen Humor, eine kleine Hoffnung abgewinnt. Nie verharrt Herr D.K. dabei in der gleichen Perspektive, weder klanglich noch lyrisch – er beleuchtet den Hintergrund.
